Homelife Senior Living is owned by Mark and Debi Cassar, local residents of the Conejo Valley for over 45 years. When dealing with the challenges of their own aging parents, they found it very difficult to navigate the many options for care; in-home care, small home, large facility, fancy hotel-like residences…they had so many options and questions. Their journey to find the right care for their parents led them to a compelling mission, and this mission led them on an unexpected path. Although they both were retired from their careers, they felt led to build an assisted living community that would aim to provide an ideal solution for families facing a similar life stage, not only offering compassion and exceptional, personalized care, but reimagining what assisted living could be. They envisioned an all-inclusive set of luxury homes that provided small and intimate living but yet provided the opportunity to be a part of a larger community. They dreamed of a place where prioritizing the needs and well-being of the residents would be paramount, where spending time getting to know and value these loved ones would be lived out by the onsite staff, where each resident could be valued for who they are and the life that they have lived, a place where a genuine sense of belonging and true home comfort and atmosphere could be welcoming to both residents and their families.
